As Todd & Duncan moves into a new and exciting period in its evolution its colour offering will be ever more important. Colour is always has been at the heart of what Todd & Duncan stands for. And looking ahead to understand emerging fashion trends and the sensitivity of the needs of the international fashion designer has always been forefront of mind.
"We have worked with some of the biggest names in couture," explained Ian McGrattan, managing director of Todd & Duncan, "to the next generation of up and coming fashion and textile designers through colleges and art schools. No customer or designer is too big or too small. We relish the artistic challenges involved in creating new colours and giving our customers and designers exactly what they are looking for."
For Autumn/Winter 2011/2012 Todd & Duncan??s cashmere yarn collection captures the imagination. It inspires, reassures and excites the senses. It exudes confidence through its simplicity and understated luxury. Taking inspiration from the work of photographer, Edward Burtynsky, and illustrator, Charley Harper, the collection challenges the notion of contrast. Creativity works hand in hand with functionality. Burtynsky??s powerful imagery of humanity??s expanding footprint and its impact on the planet is at the core of our concept and colour presentation. On a lighter note, Harpers??s bold, precise and often, whimsical style captures the deep essence of colour. His remarkable and exquisite colour sense harnesses what Todd & Duncan does best.
Todd & Duncan??s manufacturing base is on a 19 acre site on the stunning location of Loch Leven in the town of Kinross in Scotland, where it employs around 200 people.
