Bulletin on Energy Consumption per GDP Nationwide and Other Indicators of the First Half of 2010

In the first half of 2010, energy consumption saw a year-on-year increase of 11.2%, with the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) rising 11.1% year-on-year, and the energy consumption per GDP accordingly rose 0.09% year-on-year, basically equivalent to the same period last year. Energy consumption per added value of industries above designated size fell 1.25% year-on-year. In terms of energy consumption of per added value of main energy consumption industry, coal industry dropped 2.69%, iron and steel industry 1.64%, building materials industry 7.61%, chemical industry 4.28%, textile industry 2.42% while petroleum and petrochemical industry rose 11.35%, nonferrous industry 8.11% and electricity industry 4.19%
